In collaboration with Lizzy Hegarty – Year 1 teacher at the Botley Primary School – we are joining the EU Code Week 2014 by organising a series of workshops for 6-7 and 9-11 years old on 13th October.

We are going to introduce young children to coding through play and fun. The children will build and experiment together, working pairs, with arduino kits. A fun device that is interesting to play with to find out more about how electronics work. First they will build a flashing lights experiment and then adding a ‘digital sound’ sensor. They will experiment with example programs to see how to control the lights and sound and make their own kind of music.
